Nurses To Gain New Insights On Hepatitis B Infection
Nurses, midwives and nurse assistants across the country are to benefit from a one day training session on Hepatitis B Infection.
The workshop which is being organised by the Nurses-CPD Consult in collaboration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Ghana is scheduled to take place on the 8th of February, 2018 at the GRNMA Secretariat.
Hepatitis B is a viral infection that attacks the liver. It is transmitted through contact with the blood or other body fluids of an infected person.
According to the World Health Organisation, an estimated 257 million people are living with hepatitis B virus infection.
The facilitator for the workshop, Mr Charles Ampong Adjei, is a Public Health Specialist and an assistant lecturer at University of Ghana, School of Nursing.
Participants of the workshop are to make a financial commitment of GHC 50.00 as a registration fee which shall be used to cater for their lunch and workshop materials.
Also, certificates will be issued to the participants by the Nurses and Midwifery Council which can be used for renewal of PIN/AIN. This is will be done at no extra cost to the participant.
Deadline for the registration of the workshop is the 7th of February, 2018.
