All is set for Oak City International College formerly City of London Business College to start a Diploma in Nursing programme. The college has received a license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana to run a -3- year Registered General Nursing (RGN) programme leading to an award of diploma in nursing.
Oak City International College is duly registered at Registrar’s General Department and accredited by National Accreditation Board and Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana (N&MC). The school is also affiliated to the University of Cape Coast (UCC) which monitors its academic operations.
Currently, the institution is accepting applications from prospective students for the 2018/19 academic calendar.
According to Mr Kwarteng, the Principal of the College, the school has engaged seasoned lecturers and nursing and midwifery practitioners who will provide students with the requisite theoretical knowledge based on current research, trends and developments in healthcare.
In an era where most hospitals are moving away from the use of papers to a paperless regime, the school has placed much emphasis on computing as part of their course module to meet the growing demands of hospital computerization.
With their state of the art skills laboratory, students will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in addition to practicals in hospitals and clinics.
